Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 27, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Flowdesk ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Firestudio ("the Software").
1. Information We Collect
Firestudio is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- No Personal Data Collection: Firestudio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.
- Local Storage Only: All your Firebase credentials, service account files, and project data are stored locally on your device.
- Google OAuth: If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled directly between your device and Google's servers. We do not receive or store your Google credentials.
2. How We Use Information
Since we don't collect personal information, we don't use it. All operations performed by Firestudio happen locally on your device or directly between your device and Firebase/Google services.
3. Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Service Account Files: Paths to your service account JSON files are stored locally.
- OAuth Tokens: Google OAuth tokens are stored in your device's secure storage.
- Settings & Preferences: Your app settings are stored locally using standard application storage.
4. Third-Party Services
Firestudio connects to the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: To manage your Firestore database, Storage, and Authentication.
- Google OAuth: For authentication when using Google Sign-In.
- GitHub: For software updates and releases (optional).
Please review the privacy policies of these services for information on how they handle your data.
5. Security
We take security seriously:
- All communications with Firebase and Google services use HTTPS encryption.
- Service account files are never transmitted to our servers.
- OAuth tokens are stored securely using platform-specific secure storage.
- We recommend keeping your service account files secure and not sharing them.
6. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over data retention. Uninstalling Firestudio will remove all locally stored preferences and settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Firestudio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
9. Open Source
Firestudio is open source software. You can review our code on GitHub to verify our privacy practices.
